Sometimes the PulseAudio sound server is fighting a bit with Alsa (which is the usual interface for sound on our GNU / Linux). I notice it especially in our groundwater in Radio PhotoBook to get record the sound coming from your sound card or even capture correctly the microphone with some sound cards that are kept out fine on GNU / Linux. To resolve this, I use pavucontrol (PulseAudio Volume Control) mixer tap which can regulate different levels of audio input and output to and from different sources and destinations (cute huh?). Then we will see different tabs. Among them, we can adjust the playback audio output level of the various players in motion in an independent manner (as the output of a mixer to play with different fonts). The recording can decide which font is the one to record, for example, Audacity, while the microphone, well what is playing on another source (radio onlie can tune and record the source, for example).
